I worked using 24 pieces of mirrors found while remodelling a nineteen fifties home in Mexico city. The triangular and rhomboid mirrors showed the traces of time (cracks, stains, scuffs) that make pure geometric figures from imperfect objects. The old mirror reflects a ghost; an almost painfully constructed nebulosity which recalls the sharpness that once was. The flat pieces were lifted into three-dimensional figures as an exercise in origami, around the idea of fragility and tension, making geometric sculptures in situ with the materials at hand.
